Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 7, 2026
Monthmark is provided by the independent developer Fengqve ("we"). This policy explains how the Monthmark iOS app handles information.
1. Information processed by the app
Monthmark can process the following information only to provide features you choose to use:
- Symptom records: pain intensity and locations, daily function, emotional burden, sleep impact, other physical symptoms, relief methods, notes, and timestamps you enter.
- Health data you authorize: menstrual flow, sleep analysis, steps, flights climbed, active energy, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, and sleeping wrist temperature. Monthmark requests read-only HealthKit access and does not write data to Health.
- Care documents you choose: photos, scans, or files such as medicine packaging, prescriptions, medical records, and test reports, plus text recognized on device and corrections you confirm.
- Device preferences: local reminder time, notification authorization state, and app settings.
- Optional bedtime protection: with separate Screen Time permission, the app uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to schedule and apply app and website shields on this device. Bedtime settings and protection state stay on device and are not uploaded to the developer.
2. Local processing and storage
Monthmark does not require an account and does not send your symptom, HealthKit, or care-document data to a developer-operated server. App records and imported files are stored in the app's local iOS container. Text recognition is performed with Apple's on-device frameworks.
The current version does not include advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or developer-operated cloud synchronization.
3. Sharing and exports
Monthmark does not sell personal data. Information leaves the app only when you deliberately use an export or share action and select a destination. The selected destination, such as Files, Mail, Messages, or another app, handles that copy under its own privacy terms.
4. Permissions and your choices
You decide whether to grant Health, camera, photo-library, file, notification, and optional Screen Time access. You can change or revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Monthmark continues to work with reduced features when optional permissions are not granted. You can stop bedtime protection from Monthmark and revoke its Screen Time access in iOS Settings.
5. Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device while the app and its data remain installed. Removing Monthmark removes its local app container according to iOS behavior. Copies you exported remain wherever you chose to save or send them and must be deleted there separately. Monthmark creates no online account or developer-server copy, so there is no server-side account data to delete.
6. Medical and children's privacy
Monthmark is a personal record-keeping tool, not a medical device or diagnostic service. It is not directed to children under 13. If symptoms are severe, sudden, or concerning, seek professional medical care.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated. For privacy questions, open a support request using the link below. Please do not include medical records or sensitive health details in a public issue.
